     I am a lifelong Alaskan and consider myself to be a pragmatic optimist.

     On my way from west Fairbanks to midtown Anchorage, I journeyed through life as an exchange student in northwestern Germany, a manager in the tourism industry, a university student at UAF, Western Washington University (BA German/Spanish Minor) and UAA (Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification and M Ed Educational Counseling). I was lucky to start my career in the Anchorage School District as a German teacher at Dimond High School, and for the last 10 years have enjoyed my dream job as the School Counselor at Polaris K-12 School and proud parent of 2 Polaris students.
